(More customer reviews)I commute a bit over 25 miles a day so I try to set up my commuter bike to be good in all sorts of conditions and to be as comfortable as possible (without getting too Fred-like). Used to get numbness on rides with the regular grips. Not good.... made shifting gears difficult because after 30 minutes on the bike I'd lost feeling in my hands. Since I purchased these grips, the numbness is gone. The larger area for the palm distributes the pressure more widely. Greatly improved my comfort and eliminated the numbness problem. An added benefit was that the surface is of a type of rubber that gives good traction when wet, so I have good control in the rain or when my hands are dripping with sweat in the summer. One of the best purchases I've ever made for my commuter bike, (and I've tried about everything out there.) I'd give these grips a 6 if that were possible. Had them for almost 2 years now. Will never have a bike without them.
