(More customer reviews)I bought this stem as a replacement for an FSA OS-115 stem (aluminum stem with carbon face plate). I bought it for three reasons:
1) I have an FSA K-wing carbon handlebar and wanted a stem to match
2) I needed a stem with a flatter angle (the old one was 78/102)
3) I had a $50 coupon for Amazon and had to buy SOMETHING for the bike :)
PROS: This stem is beautiful - shiny carbon weave and reversible logo looks absolutely AWESOME, especially with an FSA carbon handlebar. Also, since it's an aluminum stem wrapped in carbon, I have no doubt about its durability. I'm 6'8" and 240lbs, so I need a stem I can rely on.
CONS: Although I don't have a scale to weigh it on, I can tell by holding them that the CSI OS-99 it is heavier than the OS-115 (aluminum) stem. I'm not concerned if I add a few grams so I really don't care if it's a little heavier, but some of you may want to look elsewhere if saving weight is one of your main objectives.

The FSA OS-99 CSI Stem is a forged and CNC'd aluminum stem wrapped in carbon for extra stiffness. The aluminum base is AL7050. A gloss carbon is wrapped on top of the aluminum. There is a four-bolt sculpted face clamp. The clamp is anodized black. The four faceplate bolts and two steerer pinch bolts are made from titanium. The stack height of the stem is 35mm. The stem angle is plus or minus (+/-) 6 degrees aka 84/96-degrees. The stem comes in 80-130mm lengths in 10mm increments. The finish is gloss 3K weave. Weight is 118g.
