(More customer reviews)I own a Uvex FP3.0 with FDJ team colors. The difference between the 3.0 and 3.1 is that the 3.0 has a shiny finish and the 3.1 has a matte finish. The helmets are otherwise identical.
I find the helmet to be very comfortable, more comfortable than the Giro Atmos. The padding is thicker, and there is no "pressure point" at the forehead.
Compared to the Uvex Sport Boss, the 3.0/3.1 is a larger and more substantial helmet. It's also a little bit heavier. I've never crashed in either one, but I believe the 3.0/3.1 would offer slightly better protection than the Sport Boss.
Both the 3.0/3.1 and Sport Boss offer the convenient rear ratcheting system and the padded and adjustable chin strap. The ratcheting system is better than Giro's Roc-Loc 4, and probably the same as Giro's Roc-Loc 5 (I don't own one, so I can't say for sure).
I'm very happy with my Uvex FP3.0. If you purchase a 3.0 or 3.1, I think you will be too.

Pull on Cav's preferred helmet and roll out for some interval work. The Uvex FP 3.1 Helmet's in-mold construction and IAS 3D adjustment system will keep you safe as you hammer out laps at the park. The FP 3.1 weighs in at a feathery 270 grams for the small shell, and 295 for the large, so your head won't start falling to the side an hour into your workout. 22 vents help sweat evaporate and keep you cool on even the warmest days.Product Features
