(More customer reviews)Yes, these tires are grippy and you can get moving pretty quickly when compared to other tires. I chose these tires for the ride quality, which I feel is among the best I have ever had for a particular tire. However, I will say that these are also the fastest flatting and easiest to cut tires I have ever encountered. I am usually only able to get a little over 750 miles out of these tires before they're completely trashed. I've logged thousands of miles on other tires, without deep cuts or seemingly unexplainable flats. The same soft grippy rubber that allows these tires to handle so well does not resist road debris very well. I've had some nasty punctures and flats while riding hard, on what I thought were well maintained and clear roads. While it does not discourage me from purchasing these tires again (I currently have three pairs of this particular tire), I will caution those looking for a high mileage performance tire. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend these tires to someone who does a good amount of commuting or recreational riding. If you are into racing or competitive riding, these tires are an excellent choice, but don't expect them to last much longer than a season.
