(More customer reviews)I've had an awful time keeping my hands warm while riding through Chicago's winters. Tried every combination of glove & lobster mitt, liner and heat pack. Still got frostbite after an hour of riding in the mid-20s. These Bar-Mitts are the only thing that work well. I still use a decent glove, and an occasional heat pack, but this keeps the wind off and eliminates the biggest problem that I face when temps and speeds are both in the 20s.
Downsides: Even the large doesn't offer much space inside if you also have an insulated glove. Also, the added wind resistance is noticeable, especially with a cross-breeze.
